What A Year This Has Been!

This weekend is technically the last weekend for us in 2016. How quickly times flies and we’re now at the end of the year and about to enter into a brand new year. I took a quick inventory of 2016 and I must confess that this year has been one of the finest years we’ve had on record, in every way. We recorded pretty phenomenal growth for 2016 and this increase has continued unabated since our inception, year upon year. For this, we give God praise. With the exception of just one congregation, all our congregation marked a healthy increase in attendance.

2016 started off with a bang with Kingdom Invasion 2016. I think it was the best KI conferences we’ve ever had on record. Not only were the speakers amazing, the healing and miracles amazed us all. I’m so looking forward to KI 2017. In addition to this, we’ve had a slew of fantastic speakers this year. Some of them we had invited, but for the most part, God orchestrated a great line up of speakers who fed us with the finest of wheat and all I can say is – we’re a blessed people. The consistency of a great word each week is a blessing that we mustn’t take for granted.

God has in His grace, connected us to some of the finest preachers and teachers in the Body of Christ globally. Our church camp was definitely a major highlight for us and as always, the speakers delivered. Then we had the Men’s Gatherings, which I enjoy thoroughly; the celebration of the Feasts of the Lord; our evangelistic campaign with J John; Big Family Day Out at Fort Canning; the list just goes on and on. Kudos to our team of full-time staff and volunteers. As always, they served with excellence and with great joy.

And of course, we’ve our Bible College of Wales. This year, we had two cohorts of students graduate and the momentum is building very powerfully. I’m confident that the College will one day be a focal point, a spiritual hub for the last day end-time harvest. Much of what we’ve done has been chronicled in our two issues of the Herald magazine and I encourage you to read it because there’s so much to thank God for. I could never in my wildest imaginations 21 years ago, when we first started out on this amazing journey as Cornerstone, dreamt that this is how far God would bring us. Yet, I’m sensing that we’re just scratching the surface of God’s amazing goodness to us.

Just this week, I met a sister from another church and her testimony about sums up the year we’ve had. I’m going to share it with you, which I shared with my pastors. Enjoy!

“I met a sister today at the Thrift Barn who was from anther church, but who has since from July joined Cornerstone. She shared with me that she was in a season of prayer and fasting in June this year when she had a prophetic dream. In the dream, she saw the letters, ‘C.S.C.C.’ She didn’t know what those letters meant and when she googled it, she discovered about Cornerstone.

“She began to find out more about the church and continued in her fasting. In a second dream, she said she saw “my face” and started sensing God might be saying something to her about moving over. In her third dream, she heard a song and it went something like, “In Christ alone… Cornerstone.” She was now certain that God was calling her to move to Cornerstone but there was just one more thing. Her husband had to be in agreement and he was pretty settled in their previous church. She shared this with him and prayed. Then the Lord said to this lady that she’d be in Cornerstone by the 2nd of July. On the morning of July 2, 2016, her husband said they were not going to their previous church, but Cornerstone. They’ve been in Cornerstone since.”

I was elated when I read this. This is FAVOUR and may God continue to show us His favour and grace for 2017!
