Mandarin Service

Cornerstone Chinese Ministry (房角石华文部) has been established for over 10 years (1997-2007). Reflecting back, though it has been a journey filled with toil and tears, it is also one filled with God’s abundant grace! The Apostle Paul constantly reminds us not to consider ourselves yet to have taken hold of, but to forget what is behind and press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Every work evolves from a need, and with every need, there is the provision of God. Ten years ago, it was this very need that we saw: Many of our church’s young people have parents that have yet to know the Lord. At the same time, God also brought men and women from various provinces, towns and cities in China into our midst, giving us the opportunity to disciple these overseas friends. It was this burden of love that God deposited into our hearts that propelled us to start the Chinese Ministry, to share the love of Christ to our parents and to our Chinese friends. We go into hostels regularly to befriend new friends from China, to introduce Jesus Christ to them, and to present them an opportunity to enjoy this new life in Christ!

In recent years, God has also miraculously opened another door for us as our China students started introducing the Cornerstone family to their fellow students. We witnessed the love of God, not just flowing to our parents’ generation, but to the youths of China as well! Now, this group of youth meets every Saturday, being discipled, and enjoying the blessings of the family of God in a vibrant atmosphere!

Though we have limited opportunities to visit China, God brought China into our midst. We welcome you to visit us and experience God’s love and blessings with us!

华文部

於一九九七年至今，房角石华文部已成立超过十年了。一路走来的日子虽然有苦有泪，但是上帝丰盛的恩典却一直洋溢在我们当中。使徒保罗提醒我们不要以为自己已经得着了，反而要忘记背后，努力面前，并朝向着标竿直跑，要得到神在基督耶稣里从上面召我们来得的那份奖赏。

每个事工的开始都是因为有一个特定的需要，而每个需要都有神的供应。十年前，我们看到了一个需要。当时我们教会当中有许多青年的父母亲尚未信耶稣。同时，神也将中国各方各省的人带到我们当中，给予我们机会来栽培这群国外的朋友。因着神的爱，也为了要向我们的父母亲和来自中国的朋友们分享耶稣的大爱，我们创办了华文部。我们按时到宿舍去结交来自中国的朋友，让他们认识耶稣并且让有机会在基督里开始崭新的生命。

近年来，上帝为我们开启新的一道门。我们当中的中国学生向他们的同学们介绍了房角石这个大家庭。 我们不仅见证了到神的爱如何感动父母亲那一代，也看到这份爱在中国青年当中运作。现在，这一群青年在每星期六都有固定的团契，一起被栽培，也一起享受身为神家庭的一份子所带来的祝福.

虽然我们到中国的机会有限，上帝却把中国带到我们当中。我们邀请并欢迎您一起来体验神的爱与祝福。
